BODYMEDIA LAUNCHES SENSEWEAR®WMS VERSION 1.1

First ever Web-based system helps patients and practitioners manage weight loss through personal health data

Pittsburgh, PA, December 18, 2007 - BodyMedia, Inc., the pioneer in metabolic assessment and behavioral therapy solutions, announced today it has released version 1.1 of the SenseWear® Weight Management Solution (WMS) for its clinical customers and their patients.

The SenseWear® WMS 1.1 release contains feature enhancements based on customer feedback such as a new 31,000 food database and several changes to the web application that improves the overall user experience.

This SenseWear® WMS solution enables patients to keep track of their health data such as calories burned, physical activity, and sleep so health professionals can objectively monitor adherence to their behavioral prescriptions. Patients and their physicians use SenseWear® to identify the behaviors that best promote increased activity, weight loss, and healthy living - ultimately lowering the risks associated with their chronic conditions.

“Healthcare professionals and many of their patients acknowledge the need to improve and sustain exercise and eating behaviors,” said Tom Futch, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for BodyMedia. “BodyMedia provides the tools necessary for patients and practitioners to realize success in behavior therapy. The latest enhancement to SenseWear® WMS represent an important step in our solutions’ ability to help health professionals assess, motivate, and educate patients suffering from metabolic disorders as a result of excess weight and poor lifestyle habits.”
