BODYMEDIA , CLUBCOM, AND CARDIO THEATER FORM STRATEGIC TECHNOLOGY ALLIANCE AND DISTRIBUTION ARRANGEMENT

Pittsburgh, PA (November 20, 2002)—BodyMedia, Inc. announced today a long-term strategic alliance and distribution arrangement with Cardio Theater and ClubCom, the fitness industry's two leading entertainment companies.

Under the terms of the agreement, Cardio Theater and ClubCom will have exclusive use of BodyMedia's SenseWearä Transceiver chip. The programmable transceiver is being integrated into Cardio Theater's wireless entertainment systems and ClubCom's entertainment server technologies to form a two-way entertainment and data network. This network will empower health clubs and cardiovascular equipment manufacturers with invaluable data regarding the utilization and maintenance of each C-SAFE compliant cardiovascular training unit. It will also form the foundation for ClubCom's patented wireless, interactive entertainment systems, integrating Cardio Theater personal viewing screens and MaxJack receivers.

The network is fully compatible with BodyMedia's SenseWear® Armbands, which wirelessly track human response data, including energy expenditure, activity levels, and sleep/wake states. The SenseWear Armband simultaneously integrates human response data with an individual's exercise performance to provide a perpetual physiological profile that is delivered and stored through the ClubCom wireless data network or through uplinks directly from the Armband. Health clubs and personal trainers can even remotely monitor the human performance and direct the physical activity of members as they train outside the club on C-SAFE compliant equipment. The transceiver and wireless network are expected to be fully compatible with Fitlinxx, the fitness industry's leader in human performance tracking. The SenseWear Transceivers will be distributed into the health club market through Cardio Theater's extensive worldwide distribution network. ClubCom's data and entertainment technologies and BodyMedia's Armband systems are subject to numerous United States Patents and pending patent applications.

"The integration of these technologies into a unified, highly efficient wireless entertainment and data network could result in many significant benefits for our industry," states Thomas G. Lapcevic, Chairman and CEO of ClubCom. "Thanks to the past efforts of many, including our industry's cooperative C-SAFE initiative, and the advancement of digital wireless technologies, the recording, delivery, and utilization of invaluable entertainment, equipment, and human data are now a practical reality."

"This strategic alliance is a wonderful match for the three companies," claims Astro Teller, CEO of BodyMedia. "Cardio Theater and ClubCom already form the dominant entertainment infrastructures throughout the fitness industry. The cooperative integration of our wireless data network technologies will transform their infrastructures into an amazingly efficient data delivery network. The resulting services and benefits to the fitness and healthcare industries should be nothing short of remarkable."
