The first step for your BodyMedia FIT LINK Armband to talk with the BodyMedia FIT Mobile App is to let your
smartphone know about your LINK Armband. On the iPhone® device, this is done in the Bluetooth®
pairing section of the settings screen. Here is how to get there:
Navigating to General Settings - From your dashboard screen, find the Settings icon, which looks
like gray gears. Once you click on the settings icon, you will see a screen that looks like this. Click "General"

Click on the Bluetooth section - From within the General section, select "Bluetooth".

Turning on Bluetooth® - From this screen you can determine if Bluetooth® is on or off.
If it is off, change the switch to "On."

Push and hold button on your LINK Armband - To put your LINK Armband in pairing mode, press and hold
the LINK Armband button until you hear a beep. This is typically less than 5 seconds. Try not to hold the button
much longer than five seconds. Holding the button down too long could reboot the Armband.
Device is found - After a few seconds, you will see a new device pop-in. It may be called "Misc" until the name
can be read. You will then see the Armband under the name "XY's Armband" where X is the initial of the first name registered to
the Armband and Y is the initial of the last name. Click on this row to initiate the authenticating process.

Enter the authentication code - After waiting a few seconds, you will be presented with a security
screen. The code is "0000" (four zeros). Enter the code then press the "Pair" button in the upper right.

Device is paired and connected - Once the code has been accepted, your iPhone is now paired with
your LINK Armband. You should only need to do this once. Notice the blue lit Bluetooth® icon in the upper right
side of the screen on the status bar. This indicates that Bluetooth® is on and that a device (your Armband) is
connected. When your Armband is not connected, this shows in a gray color, indicating that Bluetooth® is on,
but no devices are connected. From this point, you have 2 minutes to open the BodyMedia FIT Mobile App before
LINK Armband will disconnect. A simple press of the Armband button will re-connect your LINK Armband once you
are in the App.
