The first step for your BodyMedia FIT LINK Armband to talk with the BodyMedia FIT Mobile App is to let your
smartphone know about your LINK Armband. On the Android™ device, this is done in the Bluetooth® section of the
wireless settings screen. Here is how to get there:
Settings - Access the Settings screen by selecting the Settings icon from the menu of the dashboard.
Settings can also be launched from the application launcher.
Wireless and Networks - Select Wireless & networks from the Settings screen.
Enable Bluetooth® - Enable Bluetooth® on the device by selecting the Bluetooth® checkbox. This will
cause the Bluetooth® icon to be displayed in the notification area of the mobile device.
Bluetooth® Settings - Select Bluetooth® settings from the Wireless & networks screen.
Push and hold button on your LINK Armband - To put your LINK Armband in pairing mode, press and hold
the LINK Armband button until you hear a beep. This is typically less than 5 seconds. Try not to hold the button
much longer than five seconds. Holding the button down too long could reboot the Armband.
Locate LINK Armband - Once your LINK Armband is in paring mode, select the Scan for devices option from
the Bluetooth® settings.
After a few seconds LINK Armband will become available in the Bluetooth® devices list. You will see the Armband
under the name "XY's Armband" where X is the initial of the first name registered to the Armband and Y is the
initial of the last name. Select the this from the Bluetooth® device list. This will initiate the authenticating
Enter the authentication code - After waiting a few seconds, you will be presented with a pairing request
screen. The PIN is "0000" (four zeros). Enter the PIN and select the OK button.
Device is paired - Once the code has been accepted, your LINK Armband is paired with your Android device.
This pairing should only need to be done once.
